What’s the difference between a PVC welding machine and a seamless welding machine?
A standard PVC welding machine fuses PVCu profiles at the corners, leaving a visible weld line (or sprue) that must be removed by a corner cleaner, which leaves a small groove. A seamless welding machine pushes the molten material inside the profile instead, producing a completely smooth, invisible corner joint with no cleaning groove.
Both create structurally identical, fully fused corners. The difference is what happens to the excess molten plastic, and what your finished window looks like as a result.

How Does a Standard PVCu Welding Machine Work?
A standard PVCu welding machine heats two profile ends, cut at 45 degrees, against a Teflon-coated hot plate at around 250°C. Once the PVCu is molten, the machine presses the two ends together under controlled pressure. The plastic fuses into a single solid joint as it cools, typically in a cycle of 20 to 40 seconds per weld.
The trade-off is the sprue. When the molten ends are pressed together, excess plastic squeezes out of the joint like toothpaste from a tube. Squeeze two chocolate digestives together with soft filling in the middle and you get the same effect around the edges.
That sprue then has to be removed. Frames pass to a corner cleaning machine, which knifes and mills away the excess. What’s left is a shallow diagonal groove, usually 3 to 4mm wide, at every corner.
What types of PVC welding machine are available?

How Does a Seamless Welding Machine Work?

The result is a completely flat, smooth corner with no sprue, no groove, and no corner cleaning stage.
